Transfers

Every interchange in Metro Manila is outside the fare gates. You tap out, walk, and pay a new fare on the other line.

  • Araneta Center-Cubao on LRT-2, about 10 minutes on foot. Longest transfer of the three: an indoor route through Farmers Plaza and Gateway Mall. Two sources give 8-10 and 10-15 minutes. The mall corridors close overnight, so the late-evening walk is longer and outdoors.
  • Price a trip that changes here, from Araneta-Cubao to any station on the other line.

DOTr-MRT3 does not publish its operating hours, so this page and the app do not guess at them.

Which car to board

  • The front car is reserved. Its first 2 doors are for seniors, PWDs, pregnant riders and anyone travelling with children; the next 3 are for women. Guards enforce it on the platform.

How to pay

Besides beep and a Single Journey ticket, MRT-3 gates also take bank cards and phones that pay by tap, and GCash QR. Only some gates have the new readers. beep works at all of them, so look for the marked gate before you queue.
